The Race Legal Morons
In San Diego, we have a group of morons who seem to believe that holding legal street racing competition is the answer to stopping those racing in the streets.
To them I have a message.
You are out of your collective freaking minds.
This is an illegal activity for a reason.
Last night, tragedy visited San Diego again as teens in separate instances, tanked up with booze, crowded into a car and participated in a match race on city streets, where the end result was death.
And this misguided organization, Race Legal, which has staged legal races at San Diego’s Qualcomm Stadium, complains that if they could get the funding, they could stop all this illegal activity.
My answer is no, you can’t.
And what’s worse is why are you bothering?
Get kids to stop smoking or stop drinking or avoid drugs.
This idea of yours would be comical if it didn’t cost lives.
Kids shouldn’t be racing.
They shouldn’t be drinking and driving.
They should have been taught this by their parents.
What are you missing about all of this?
What is worse is when these TV yokels get hold of the story, such as Ed Lenderman, of KUSI TV in San Diego.
They try to make case for these Race Legal backers as if they are someone offering an extraordinary idea and trafically being overlooked by government.
Here is my advice to Race Legal.
Go away!
I don’t want to see penny one given to kids who want to race legally.
If they want to race legally, let them join NASCAR.
In the late 1960’s I acted in our high school presentation of Rebel Without A Cause, a big movie of the day starring the hot couple of the day, James Dean and Natalie Wood.
The movie was made in the 1950’s and the kids then were doing exactly what the kids are doing now.
They were having match races in their cars and yej added danger was that they wrecked the cars at the end of the sprint when the driver exited their vehicle at the last minute, showing their manhood and proving they weren’t “chicken.”
There is nothing new about street racing.
It should be banned and participants should lose their license to drive.
What’s next?
Will we feel bad for child molesters and set up camps where they can moles all they like so they can get it out of their system?
