Giants Are Champions of the Baseball World
A sad day today as no meaningful baseball will be played until April.
The 2012 season ended with the Giants winning their second championship in three years.
What a job by Bruce Bochy!
The Giants have been playing baseball in San Francisco since 1958 and until Bruce came along, they had not won a single thing.
You would think he would now get a lifetime contract and the key to the city.
Too bad life doesn’t work that way.
How come the Detroit Tigers were swept so easily?
They played the Giants when the Giants were playing their best ball of the year.
The Tigers were still on a high after demoralizing the New York Yankees.
Jim Leyland was out of smokes and looking forward to a face transplant after the season ended.
Take your pick.
One thing is for sure.
In four short months, 30 teams will report to Spring Training in Arizona and Florida with a single dream.
They wish to be like the San Francisco Giants, who are planning another parade to commemorate a championship season.
Those who are not Giant fans will watch the festivities and mutter:
Wait ‘till next year.
And with the inexorable passing of the remaining 64 days of 2012, they will soon get their wish.
Congratulations once again to the world champion San Francisco Giants.
Spring Training begins in February.
I love this game.
