Ambivalent

am•biv•a•lent ( m-b v -l nt) adj. Exhibiting or feeling ambivalence. ________________________________________ Adj. 1. ambivalent - uncertain or unable to decide about what course to follow; "was ambivalent about having children" incertain, uncertain, unsure - lacking or indicating lack of confidence or assurance; "uncertain of his convictions"; "unsure of himself and his future"; "moving with uncertain (or unsure) steps"; "an uncertain smile"; "touched the ornaments with uncertain fingers" Start with the initial comment about AMBIVALENT. Can you believe that some teachers will show this to students? How would anyone know what the hell this word meant? AMBIVALENT is one of my favorite power words. It turns a shrug of the shoulders into a statement.
