Laker Obituary
One final look at this Lakers fiasco from the perspective of a fan.
When you have a coach available who has won 11 NBA titles, you don’t have the mindset:
Let’s give another coach, who hasn’t won crap, a chance.
All those morons out there who think D’Antoni is a good coach, you are suffering early dementia.
He has not proven anything to me other than the fact that he can run an up-tempo offense and get fired from the Suns and Knicks.
I can tell you this.
I will be very surprised if the Lakers can get back to the NBA championship for the next several years.
They are old, vulnerable on defense and now are saddled with a coach for the next 3 years for better or worse has always struggled to win in the NBA and is not someone special.
The Lakers had one final chance to turn their team over to the best coach in NBA history and their ego, read Jimmy Buss, got in the way.
They will rue the day.
And starting tonight, I hope Laker fans let them know how badly they dropped the ball.
