Sugar Drinks

New York City, my hometown, is buzzing about the attempt to limit the sales of sugar drinks. I never drank much soda until I was 18. The wardens did not serve soda to the prisoners. The one exception was when Grandma Rebecca visited. We were allowed to mix Coke in our milk. It was explained to us by the wardens that it was a Jewish thing. When I was released from prison and began college, my love affair with Coke began. It has lasted 44 years. I am hopelessly addicted. No more bans for me.
