I never thought much about my imaging experience from high school.
I was too busy trying to make sense of my life.
And of course I had to eat.
America will eat you up if you don't have ready funds.
My journey led me to the South Bronx where as a 22 year old I began to teach in the South Bronx.
Dead dogs were my companions as I parked and walked to the gated fortress.
I began a year of teaching that I can best describe as enlightening.
I came away developing my early thoughts on mentoring.
Thoughts our educational system in America are still quite fuzzy about.
We have the manpower in this country to have people help people.
But we don't do a damn thing about it.
I am about to change that.
