When my writing student shows me talent and decides to embark on Memoir, I am thrilled.
I remind then if they want that Memoir to be read, it is necessary to catch the reader's attention in the first 200 words.
If you don't do that, they will move on.
Keep it in mind.
They don't have to ready your silly Memoir.
Give them a compeling reason to do so!
