Yankee Fans Love to be Screwed!

Ask a Yankee fan if they should have put a roof on Yankee Stadium and they will say.
What are you a wimp?
This is why I root for my Yanks from San Diego where the last time there was a rainout was during the FDR administration (OK a bit of Bronx hyperbole), but you get my point.
The fact is that weather has already impacted the 2011 MLB playoffs and may have changed outcomes.
Verlander has been pushed back to game 3 and CC maybe the same.
You play the entire 162 game schedule for advantages and then one rainout takes that all away?
It doesn’t seem right!
Games in Arizona, Texas, Tampa and Milwaukee will not be affected which gives those teams an advantage.
Texas is the only one without a roof and I am betting rain won’t be a factor in the southwest.
This leaves Detroit, Philly, Cardinals and of course, rain soaked New York.
When the Steinbrenner clan learned how Yankee fans were willing to go topless, he was quick to save the 100 million or so.
Did he ask his players?
Why bother?
They are getting paid.
What would have been so bad about a roof at Yankee Stadium?
It would have only played a role in games like last night where the game could have been played until completion, CC could have pitched all night and fans would have been dry and comfortable.
Instead, MLB allowed teams like the Tigers, Yanks, Cards and Phils to build baseball stadiums in the past decade with no roof even though they were in rain challenged climates.
However, in Milwaukee, where Selig’s heart lies, a roof was always part of the plan.
Screw the fans!
Unless they are Yankee fans.
Because Yankee fans are not wimps.
They love to be rained on and screwed over.
And the rest of us.
We moved to San Diego.
