The original Milton Bradley was a game pioneer, older than Monty Hall.
That Milton Bradley was inducted in 2004 into the Toy Industry Hall of F
Milton Bradley, the baseball player was already with his fourth organization in five years by 2004.
This Milton Bradley will never be inducted into baseball's hall of fame, unless they open a hot head wing.
Milton Bradley wears on you.
The San Diego Padres were Milton Bradley's sixth baseball team in eight seasons.
Milton Bradley has talent.
Ask him. He will be the first to tell you how premium baseball talent courses through his veins.
It's just that Bradley is the opposite of the mellow Padres' shortstop Kahlil Greene.
Polar opposites.
While Greene chills, Bradley simmers.
When Greene walks away, Bradley blows his top.
Forget the fact that suspended and hot-headed umpire Mike Winters might have instigated the ugly incident that led to Bradley blowing out his knee in what became a farce, as his manager tried to restrain the apoplectic outfielder from reaching Winters and tearing him apart with his bare hands.
Somehow Mike Winters and his justifiable suspension from MLB has become the story and MLB seems to be satisfied that Bradley won't be playing baseball for anyone for quite a long time.
Let's not forget the real issue.
Kahlil Greene was born with automatic self control.
Milton Bradley was born without self control.
Six teams have seen it on and off the field.
It's always all about Milton.
As it was last Sunday afternoon.
Not only did Bradleys' antics cost the Padres a potent bat in the last week of the season and perhaps beyond, Bradley's selfish play took out Mike Cameron and now he is unavailable as well.
Some might say aggressive left field play.
I say selfish.
A left fielder knows how to defer to a great center fielder like Cameron.
Bradley doesn't think of himself as a left fielder, He has always considered himself the great center fielder.
And therein lays the problem.
The game is always about Milton Bradley.
It's a game teams are about ready to shelve to the far away reaches of the closet.
It just never seems to be a game any team can win.
