Are you a walker?
If you are walking over the Coronado Bay Bridge on May 17, you will find me and a few thousand friends.
It will be another spectacular day in San Diego and I can tell you that without a weather forecast.
When I was drawing up my visualization list of the places I most wanted to live, San Diego was the place.
I would watch Met games over WOR Channel 9 in South Huntington, New York and one of the original Met announcers, Lindsey Nelson, Bob Murphy or Ralph Kiner, would say:
"We are coming to you from picturesque San Diego where every day seems like a picture perfect day."
That's where I wanted to live. Case closed.
So, I know Sunday, May 17 will come up perfect.
My son will be running over the bridge, but walking is fine with me.
For 31 years, my boy and I do things together.
The following are the 10 reasons why walking might change your life forever.
It's what I share with my students.
I now share it with my FACEBOOK family and by blogger followers.
See you on the bridge.
This is my second bridge crossing.
Last September, me and my best friend since I was 12, crossed the Brooklyn Bridge to Manhattan and the site of the World Trade Center.
A very emotional day!
1. Walking will enhance you thinking and release new visualizations
2. Walking will help you get in shape
3. Walking will make you eat less.
4. Walking will force you to drink more water.
5. Walking will encourage you to stand tall.
6. Walking will add friends and bond family
7. Walking will take you places you never imagined
8. Walking is an activity you can do forever.
9. Walking will add years to your life.
10 Walking begins with the first step.
Happy Trails!
Steve
