I was.

Even though I have built an extraordinary lifestyle over the years, living in my dream city of San Diego, my world was rocked last year when one day, my wife and daughter walked out the door for the last time.

Thirty two years of marriage ended that day and with it, I lost hearing the sounds I treasured so dearly. Sounds known only to a family.

For several weeks, I was paralyzed by this cataclysmic event.

I stopped teaching visualization to my students.

I ceased a project that I had in mind to spread visualization in America by recruiting teachers and marketers nationwide.

Instead, I marinated in my own grief.

I can remember spending hours on the phone with my sweet and sympathetic sister, wailing like a 6 year old, making woeful sounds between my tears, as I purged the shock, disappointment and rock bottom sadness brought on by what I believed to be the ultimate betrayal.

Loyalty is my true north and the abandonment I felt last year was like no pain I had suffered in my life.

Slowly, painstakingly, I turned to visualization to help me clear the debris.

I began to set new goals for myself.

I made a movie in my mind of these goals.

As Summer turned to Autumn, I accepted the offer of working with a friend to make his business dream come true.

This helped me to get out of the house and focus on someone rather than myself.

Of course, I would soon lose patience with this project.

I knew my destiny was to spread the power of visualization.

That had become my mission in life.

We both needed each other more now than ever before.

Visualization and what it had always meant for me and what it could mean to others around the globe who were stuck in their own quicksand in life was my shining light at the end of this tunnel of darkness.

Day by day, my life is returning to me.

I have returned to teaching visualization to others and helping them to change their lives.

Perhaps I needed to reach these unknown depths of despair in order to climb the dizzying heights I visualize for my immediate and long term future.

CAN VISUALIZATION VOCABULARY CHANGE LIVES?

This is a question I have been asked for 30 years.

In 1978, I introduced the first lessons on VISUALIZATION VOCABULARY to 20 seniors at the Deerborne School in Coral Gables, Florida.

It became one of the most popular courses in the school's history.

Now, I plan to launch VISUALIZATION VOCABULARY nationwide.
