I like making money.
Everyone who knows me that's how I keep score.
I have bought Cadillacs, vacationed in the Caibbean and purchased his and her Rolexes on more than one occasion.
One of my most pleasurable acquisitions was a 1981 Camaro Z-28.
I bought it off the showroom floor.
It was an all cash deal.
I am no fool.
Interest rates in 1981 were near 20% for the best customers for car loans.
The sports car, the last of the Z-28 production muscle cars, was midnight blue, with leather, power windows and air.
It was a beauty.
I bought it for my son who was then 4.
I drove it while he waited.
On his 16th birthday, I delivered it to him in mint condition.
It was a mighty fine day.
Just like the day recently, when I received this letter from Mary of Tempe.
I will let Mary tell it in her own words.
Dear Steve:
You might not think this letter is very important, but thanks to WORD PICTURES and what you have taught me, I too, made a significant purchase for myself this past month.
I purchased a health insurance policy!
Since my divorce over three years ago, I could not afford health insurance and I have not stayed at a job long enough to earn benefits.
Now, working for myself, promoting the Power of Mental Imagery, I have proudly changed that.
I won't bore you with details, but I have had high blood pressure for the past 10 years and during the time I was without health coverage, I went without checkups and often without medication.
Now, I have what I always craved the most.
Independence!
It might not seem like a luxury purchase for your other students.
It was for me.
Thank you!
Mary
