WE HELP KIDS DEVELOP GOOD MONEY HABITS

Good idea, right?

I mean what a better message to send to both kids and their parents (who will read this ad) about starting a savings program for their kids.

If you are a marketing maven, like I am, you will like it even better when you discover that this ad was run by a bank in an effort to visualize reaching current and potential customers.

The ad went on to indicate 3 types of new savings clubs dedicated to "children only."

It included a LOONEY TUNES SAVINGS CLUB for kids up to age 12.

A STARTING POINT ACCOUNT for teens.

And a YOUNG ACCOUNT for helping ages 18-23 transition into the real world.

The only thing missing was that this bank failed to visualize the rest of the story.

When I teach visualization, I ask my students to visualize as far and wide as they can.

If you are going to develop an idea to attract parents to your bank by opening the vaults to their children and consequently, netting more and more of mom snd dad's hard earned cash and fture obligations, why not go the extra mile.

You wouldn't run to the 50 yard line and fall down, happy to make to mid-field.

No, you would run the extra 50 yards for a touchdown.

You wouldn't soar to the basket for a slam dunk and then be satisfied with a quiet lay-up.

You wouldn't hit a towering homerun and then insist on stopping at 2nd base with a stand-up double.

No, you would take this seminal idea and visualize it to the end.

You would run with this idea and take it to the bank.

And that is what this bank didn't do.

You have all these parents jazzed to start their kids on education about money, something they are not likely getting at schools throughout America.

Why is that?

That is a subject for another time and day.

This bank could turn their great ad into a spectacular ad.

What is missing.

Visualize with me the following add on.
